This is quite a challenge to come up with original games, craft ideas, or anything else to keep the kids busy on Memorial Day. Kids’ minds are easily distracted when we don’t do much on Memorial Day or any other day.
Here are a few ideas I believe I made up on the fly. If not then, hey, someone else thinks like me.
NO FLAG OF ANY KIND
Here you can have fun kind of kids either outside or at home or in the park. You need at least four kids for this project. Eight will be great! Each team will start with one runner running with a flag in hand. This kid needs to go to the next person who is waiting for the flag to pass to them.
These flags can be those six inches high that cost a buck or two. The goal is for the team to pass to the first goal. There is no course before that, as the keyboard timer. Amercy may be something, but for this game a big flag for each members of the winning team will be enough.
TABLE COMPETITION
This game can be thought of in so many ways. My idea is to provide a picture of the current US Flag for each kids to paint on memorial day . The object is quite simple. Draw the flag on the paper, and also before the painting finish.
Maybe you want to have them paint scrubs to keep their clean clothes. A water soluble paint will be best used. Unless you don’t want to take it with paint, use clay instead.
MEMORIAL DAY TEE SHIRTS
This is a really fun idea that the kids can take home too. tee shirts you can have red, white or blue for any kid design. We had portraits of US presidents, US monuments, or flags of different countries. Another neat idea is to have titles patriotic songs to commemorate the day.
Let each child decide what to wear on his shirt. This allows for flexibility. They can use paint or glue again. acrylic paint is for canvas that is easy to apply. A divider between the front and back of the shirt is needed so that the design does not get through the blood.
Buy tee shirts that are a size larger so that the kids can wear them for at least a year. Suggest to them the idea of applying the quote on their shirts. A jar with pre-written quotes would be fun to have sitting nearby. Connect with them so they know there is more to it than meets the eye.
PATRIOT POSITIONS
This will be especially fun when you have your kids on Memorial. Find pictures of religious paintings or sculptures online. to print They have at least ten opposites. This will make the time much faster.
They try to take pictures of the kids all the way they pose in the pictures. When they pose, they snap another photo. Now they have to try how the people are in the next picture.
These pictures will make Memorial Day fun for you and your kids pictures. Other children who have joined may have photos as well.
GRAB BAGS
This is the cause of the “treading water” type. Memorial Day can put things in bags like decks of cards with US Presidents. Maybe a traditional US candy like lemon drops, root beer caddies, or star mints. Flag clothes pins cool.
You can be funny and put a baby club in bubble-blowing”>dance on them. Maybe some Bazooka Joebubble gum would trick. Collector sports cards< /a> while the bubble gum was great for the guys, it was cheap jewelry for the gals.
Memorial Day can be as fun as you want it to be. Deciding what to do is the only challenge of the day.
