Located in Rockford, Illinois, this hotel is perfect for a girlfriend or ladies only retreat. If it’s on the front page, you’ll want to put this on your list. Accommodations received here are typical and agreeable to their names, including Bordello, Fines and Materials. The air is certainly rustic, but not without amenities, such as hot tubs and mini-refrigerators.

Although arguably one of the more popular spots for a women’s only weekend, the Starved Rock Lodge and Conference Center is a haven for weary spirits. Imagine thousands of beautiful acres of forests, canyons and waterfalls. In addition, it is the only hotel I know of that is actually located in a state park itself. With so much space, it’s the perfect blend of luxury features and privacy. You can find everything here, making it one of my first choices for a girlfriend’s solo retreat.

The knotty pine and the author of the cabin might suit your taste or maybe you will be with a group of women who want more up to date beauty.
