According to experts, computer games can be fun and useful for children to prevent age, if they follow these ways:
? Encourage exploration, problem solving, and the use of imagination
? Build on what the child already knows
? It is multi-sensory, using sound, music and voice
? It offers an open-ended story where the child is in control of the pace
Our 4 years daughter really loves to play computer games. When she was three, we bought her Jumpstart Preschool Classic Version. The box says it’s for ages 2-4 and “teaches essential school skills.” The computer programming begins with various animal characters playing outside the school. To continue the program, the child clicks the house door and this in the school room. Each game is started by clicking on various objects and signs in the school. He just played a part of the song; his favorite was “You Are My Sunshine”. Others sported skins and looked for fish; paint pictures; to read toys; and matching the turtle with the eggs. This gaming computer has kept my daughter’s attention and focus more than any other game we have looked for or bought. The game has really built confidence in using the mouse, clicking and dragging, and following commands. I would say 2-4 years old in the smaller range, but 2 or 3 years old is great.
Like most preschool children, our daughter has a variety of interests. Sometimes she is very involved in games, and other weeks she doesn’t play. Family and child experts recommend no more than an hour of total screen time for a child. Considered television screen time as well as computer or video games. We try to mix screen time with other more mobile things to do.
Eventually, she got tired of Salistart Classic Version Preschool and all the other computer games she had, and we started looking for a new computer game. When Nick Jr. in fact he loves, we buy computer games from those characters. He enjoyed these games, but quickly grew bored with some, and was frustrated by the learning curve with others. We have also proven that Salisstart time is not tied to a television character without controversy. It will be fun and playable five years from now.
We knew she used Jumpstart Preschool, so we expected another Jumpstart computer game. They ended up getting Jumpstart Advanced Preschool, “completely prepared for school”. It has 4 CDs.
#1 is “Toddler School Time” and played with the little one, but it would be better for a child unfamiliar with the computer to join the comfortable playing.
#2 “I cut the basics.” Who is great here! It has a proven track record of assessing a child’s level and determining their preferred learning style . My daughter enjoys the experiment so much that she clicks on the option to take it all the time. This CD is full of games like matching shapes and colors, spoken words for most commands, so it provides a great way for children to begin writing recognize the words These computer games follow the guidelines at the beginning of the article.
We bought the Jumpstart Kindergarten CD as well, but we’re keeping this one until our computer gamer gets tired of the Advanced Preschool Computer Game Pack.
We definitely recommend any of the games for your children.
