According to The Inquistr published yesterday, “The man formerly known as Puff Daddy has been receiving a lot of praise today for making a bold admission about his youth… Diddy was on “Ellen”today and said that he grew up drinking nothing but Kool-Aid. The singer / producer said that all the sugar in the Kool-Aid used to make him wet the bed.”

I agree it is a bold admission. Not every celebrity would admit to something like that.

Sean Diddy Combs is quoted as saying, “I went on this quest to stop wetting the bed, and the first day I had a sleepover and I didn’t wet the bed, it was, like, one of the greatest days of my life. It gave me the swagger that I have today because I stopped wetting the bed.”

I am happy for him that overcoming enuresis gave him the swagger or sophistication that he has today. I am sure other things must have helped as well.

The Inquistr states that it should be noted that Diddy did make his admission while promoting his new, bed wet free, product AQUAHydrate.

I feel profit probably promoted the admission, but nevertheless many children can now look up to him and know they are not different from other people when even celebrities like Sean Diddy Combs had the same problem.

Regardless of his reasons for sharing that part of his personal life, nocturnal enuresis known as nightly bed-wetting is a condition commonly found among children. According to emedicine health, “Parents must realize that enuresis is involuntary. The child who wets the bed needs parental support and reassurance.

I am sad to say that many parents scold and ridicule their children for bed-wetting.

There are approximately five to seven million children in the United States who wet the bed. Most children simply outgrow bedwetting. The Mayo Clinic says the condition usually goes away by the time the child reaches the age of seven. Children at this age and younger may not yet have a fully developed bladder. “Bladder training, moisture alarms or medication may help reduce bed-wetting.”

Yes, thank goodness that there are therapies to help bed-wetters, and if P Diddy’s solution works it will help these children as well.

According to wetbuster:

Actor Michael Landon was a bed-wetter until the age of 14. Landon directed the movie “The Loneliest Runner” in 1976. This movie was about a 13-year-old bed-wetter.

“Franklin D. Roosevelt was president of the United States from 1933-1945. He had to wear diapers because of polio, which he was afflicted with as a young man. In spite of his disability he went on to become one of the greatest men in history.”

“Suzanne Somers starred for many years in “Three’s Company” and other popular TV shows as well as several movies. She grew up in the shadow of an abusive father. .. Her childhood was a difficult one. She spent her early years wetting her bed almost nightly because of the anxiety brought on by her father’s drinking binges and mood swings.”

Diddy is not the only famous person who wet the bed; however, he was brave enough to admit it.

I say good for you Sean, keep up the good work.
