One of my best friends is ½ Thai, and this is the Thai restaurant that she and her house have always taken me to. Thai Taste is getting rave reviews all around. This locally owned gem is open 6 days a week from 11:00 a.m. at 9:00 p.m. and on Mondays it is closed. This restaurant offers amazing green curry, soft rolls, rum cake, and the best lychee ice cream I’ve ever had. .

This small Thai restaurant has won several Indianapolis Monthly Awards over the years. The menu is appetizing and varied, and the food is generally well-known for Thai cuisine. Indy Thai Café is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. at 9:30 p.m. and is closed on Sundays and Fridays. And after lunch, Thai Tapioca pudding with coconut and chestnut water is delicious!

Some other delicacies on the menu are Sukiyaki, Som Tom Carrot, Grilled Chicken Peanut Salad and Sticky Rice with Mango.

They’ll make it mild, medium or hot depending on your preference, and if you ask, they’ll even bring out traditional spices so you can taste it yourself!

This restaurant is kid and lion-friendly and has recently doubled in size to accommodate many loyal patrons. Sawasdee is open for dinner at night, and open for lunch Monday through Saturday. One of the best dishes is Poh Taek, a soup entrée with large portions of shrimp, shellfish, squid and fish balls. Be sure to check out the daily staples written on the chalkboard when you walk in – you’ll probably find something tasty to try.
